Welcome to School Event Planner! This guide will walk you through the basics of getting set up so you and your team can start running events smoothly. These steps will help you get everything in place: creating your account, inviting colleagues, and launching your very first event.

1. Setting up your account

Now that you're signed in, we recommend tweaking School Event Planner to suit the preferences of your school or organization.

Head over to the Settings section and confirm that your preferences are correct, and make any updates as needed.

2. Inviting staff

When you create an event in School Event Planner, you'll typically want other staff members to be a part of that event or have access to manage it.

In the Staff section you can invite staff to join your school or organization, where they can then be added to your events. They'll be sent an email with instructions on how to activate their account.

Adding staff early ensures they have time to familiarise themselves before events begin.

tip

You don't need to add anyone or everyone in your school or organization just yet. If you're simply trialing School Event Planner, you can just invite one or two staff members to get started and then invite more later on.

3. Starting your first event

Now that you've got some staff added, you can start your first event!

The Events section has everything you need to know about starting and running an event with School Event Planner, and you'll soon be collecting bookings from parents and caregivers in no time!

tip

Since there's no limits to the number of events, free to create a test event first to get a feel for things, and then create your actual event later.

4. You're good to go!

That’s it! You’ve set up your account, invited staff, and launched your first event. From here, you can explore more features like reminders, reports, and share the event with your parents and caregivers to collect bookings.
